Humanity history

The modern settlement originated in the Anglo-Saxon era when it consisted of the Havering Palace and surrounding land belonging to the king. Havering Palace is an ancient royal residence in England. From the building before 1066, until it was abandoned in 1686, it is located in the village of Havering-Atte-Bower.
As we all know, this palace has existed at least during the reign of Edward the Confessor, when it was one of his main residences.
The area has formed a free zone since 1465, which includes the parishes of Havering- atte- Bower, Hornchurch and Romford.

In the planning policies of the 20th and early 21st centuries, the London Underground and rapid rail services to central London resulted in a large number of residential land mixed with designated parks and farmland.
In the 1930s, the regional line was electrified and extended to Upminster, and new stations were built at Elm Park and Upminster Bridge.
